Happy New Year!!!

I know, I know. I was supposed to blog during this first year of baby Honeybun's life. Well, she's 7 months and I haven't updated since she was 7 weeks ::hangs head with shame::

Not that this is a resolution, but I do plan to document the happenings of this year. Baby girl will be 1 year in a few months. Time is passing so quickly.  I remember getting excited and being on aww because she started crawling. Just a few days ago, she started standing (unassisted) for about 5 seconds on her own. Geez!!

I am so happy to welcome the new year. 2012 was great with the birth of our baby, of course. I look forward to an even better 2013. Why?

1. Mr honeybun and i will make 4 years married in March

2. Baby makes a year in May
  - I am undecided right now about a party or small gathering

3. My 10 year class reunion is in June

4. I plan to train and complete in my very first 5k!

5. Hubs & I invest more (baby honeybun college fund)

6. Continue to be a great mom & wife

Not too bad for a short list.

week 7

Its hard to believe that baby girl is already 7 weeks old! Goodness! I remember having her like, yesterday!

She has started to coo (last week), smile (2 weeks ago) and laugh (a few days ago). Its truly amazing the developments we get to witness in this new person. God is amazing!

Thankfully, she got into her day care that we were on the LONG waiting list for. I know its nobody but God that blessed us with that. I can be relieved to know that she will be in good hands while we are at work.

Speaking of work--I have been off since mid-March. It'll be hard to leave her, but I am looking forward to getting into a routine of doing something daily. On one hand, I would love to be with her all day, but I miss doing 'work' (gasp) and my own money.. I've always said that I am too young and educated to be at home. No offense to those who are SAHMs however, its just not for me. Not right now, at least.

Another thing about work-- I would not like to return to the school I was at prior to my leave.  I do have an interview with a charter school this week. I am unsure about teaching there. I would have the 'flexiblilty' and creativity that I crave, but I guess I am unsure of the 'unknown' about a new place. Then, if I go back to my old school..I KNOW how stressful, horrible, and just ugh that place is. I am praying that the opportunity is presented to me at the old school. I will take it if it is extended to me. If not, I am going to start off at my 'old' school but definitely keep applying elsewhere.

I just want to go to work..stressFREE..and return back home to my baby (and husband). Thats all..

I will try to update more often. I need to have my 'release' place.

Mommy Blog

Life as a mom has been one of the hardest, yet satisifying roles of my life. Yes, its demanding however to experience loving this little person so much is just wonderful. Most people would say they have a 'special' love for their husband once they get married. There is a different love for your child. Its a love that makes you extremely happy.

Things I miss: sleep! You learn to do things in a 2-2.5 hour rotation because thats when baby is sleep. Its an adjustment, but I love it!

I'm enjoying the moments with her because I will return to work. In the back of my mind, I wonder if work is worth leaving my precious little one with someone else for the day. I will look forward to that smile and quirky sound effects once I pick her up every day after work. I just love this kid, I really do.

Wow- baby will not be considered a newborn anymore after Wednesday. She is growing so fast! I remember JUST having her. Where did the time go?!

Baby Ava is here!

Ava made her grand arrival on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 9:05 am. She weighed in at 9 lb 13 oz and was 20.5 in long!! This is a big baby. I delivered her via c-section. I will have to update on the birth story later.

We are SO IN LOVE with this little sweety pie.

It is MAY!

I have been counting down to this month for months! I am at week 35 (+3 days). I am hoping that this little girls is ready to enter the world in about 3 weeks..I know, I know..wishful thinking. Now that I think of it, June 2nd (due date) is not that far away. To top it all off, my birthday is 23 days from today. I'm not even 'planning' for my big 2-7 because...we're having a baby!

We have everything set up..its been for months. Her room is adorable. I'm just waiting until she gets here.

As far as symptoms-- I have noticed that I am moving so slow. I couldn't imagine still working! There is no way I could keep up with the physical demands of those kids and everything. Not to mention, I am huge! My goodness.

I know I should be doing last minute things to prepare for her, but I am thinking about day care...returning back to work....getting back in shape post delivery..adjusting to life with a baby. How am I going to balance everything?

I will have to post  pics later. Now, I will try to blog more often when she gets here. It will be a great thing to look back and document her life.

Now, in pregnancy news..things are GREAT!! I have about 67 days left of this pregnancy and our bundle will be here! We are too excited and ready for her.

I have not updated in a long time. Did I even tell the blog about the sex of the baby? Well...

its a GIRL!!!! we are too excited! We have been preparing for our little princess as much as we can. I am so looking forward to meeting her!~

Sleep: not much! Its hard to get comfortable at night and when I do get ready to turn over at night, I wake up.

urgh!!

I am so upset with FED EX!

Its not the hormones talking..those people MIS-delivered my package. They admitted to delivering it to the wrong address. Supposedly, trying to 'recover it' just to hopefully find my address and give me my package. The same package that was ordered on Black Friday for my mom. It was a luggage set. I got it at a great price (which of course is not offered at that low price anymore).

Now why oh why would I want a package (after 5 days) back after someone has possibly opened it?! and possibly took something out of it?!

Then on top of that..fedEX wants to give me the run around about the whereabouts of my package!!

I finally called and requested my refund from macys.. off to try to find a similar deal.

Lesson of the month: do NOT ship with fed ex!
